Using a Bar Code scanner to take inventory increases accuracy and speed. The Windstar Restaurant Software program works with the optional bar code reader to speed up counting inventory by simply scanning the shelf label or the UPC bar code on the back of the box or can. This is a huge improvement over conventional inventory counting because you can scan a products UPC code if it is not in the correct location and the software will automatically add the count to the correct inventory item.
